Chapter Two -"Kirk Colton"

Raziel trudged through the blazing desert surrounding the City of Dis. He kept look out for anything that could be the hiding place of Kirk Colton. His eyes came to what appeared to be a cave with rocks covering the entrance. He grabbed a stone and threw it behind him. A few lumps of earth later and he heard something inside. Raziel put his ear to the hole he had made.
“Who’s there!? Get the heck away from here!!!” Said a pained voice.
“Kirk Colton?” Raziel asked into the hole.
“Who cares?” Called the voice.
“I do. I want to help you through whatever’s going on with you. If you’re gonna be here forever you might as well enjoy it.” Raziel replied. For a moment, there was no reply.
“I doubt you can do it, but I’ll give you a shot. Pull out the other rocks.” The man replied. “And yes, I am Kirk.” Raziel continued removing the stones. After a few minutes, Raziel could finally see the blonde man. His cheeks were covered with tears and his eyes were red. “So, who are you?” He asked.
“My name is Raziel. I’m a demon and pretty big fan.” Was the reply.
“Never met a demon before. Guess that explains why you have pale eyes and sharp teeth.” Kirk returned. Raziel entered the cave.
“You’ve been sulking in here for fifteen years?” Raziel asked.
“Is that how long it’s been? Well, I have ‘sulked’ ever since I first came here.” Kirk replied. Raziel looked around and saw nothing in the cave; no furnishings, no tools. “So, I am gonna stay depressed, or are going to work some magic?” Kirk said listlessly.
“I’m going to show you the Underworld. Come with me and leave this cave.” Raziel replied.
“Leave? No! I will not leave!” Kirk exploded.
“But, you must leave in order to regain happiness!” Raziel persisted. Kirk grimaced.
“Fine.” He uttered. Kirk stood up and slowly trudged out of the cave. He squinted as the Crystal Sun, at the top of the Rasharus Coliseum, blinded him.
“Why is the world so bright?” He grumbled.

As furies fly through the sky
This land of darkness is one of happiness
Lava flows peacefully down the volcanoes
As demons roam along the blackened plains
This land is not eternal night

“Look here. See those Riffendals mill about that field? This isn’t even the happiest place here.” Raziel said.
“Those look like black cows.” Kirk said.
“They act much like them too, but don’t try to milk ‘em.” Raziel said. Kirk let out a small laugh. Raziel delighted in his progress so early on.

Raziel led Kirk to the Field of Asphodel, where unjudged spirits waited for something that will never come. Red and black flowers dotted the fields. “Isn’t it beautiful?” Raziel asked.
“Yeah, it kind of is.” Kirk replied.

Vittur counted his Tokens as there was a knock at the door. He opened the door and asked, “Who is it?”
“A legionnaire of Lucifer. The Dark Lord requests your presence.” Replied the ironclad demon.
“Why would he want me?” Vittur asked.
“I am just the messenger.” The legionnaire replied.
“Alright.” Vittur said, putting his Tokens back into his vault.

“Vittur Zandendal. There is evidence that you have committed fraud within your occupation.” Lucifer said, sitting upon his obsidian throne on the fifth floor of the Coliseum.
“What!? I have done no such thing!” Vittur replied.
“One hundred twenty three of your customers lose money during the fights. Someone goes through the crowd, picking their pockets.” Lucifer replied.
“What evidence do you have that it was me?” Vittur retorted.
“Mortugal, come forward.” Lucifer said. A large black demon emerged from the shadows.
“Yes, he is the one who stole from me, the thief!” Mortugal announced.
“I sentence you to eternity in Tartarus. Mortugal shall be the arena master.” Lucifer said.
“What!? No, you can’t do this!” Vittur said as Legionnaires bound him with rope. “I’m innocent! Innocent!!”

“Finally, I bring you to the Rasharus Coliseum, home of many things, including music.” Raziel said.
“Music? I remember when music was my life.” Kirk replied.
“There’s a concert starting soon.” Raziel said.
“Are we gonna go to it?” Kirk asked.
“Yes.” Raziel replied. On the third floor, the band “Scalding” was preparing to play. “This band was inspired by Bliss.” Raziel said.
“Really? Cool.” Kirk said with little enthusiasm.

When darkness is closin’ in
You know what to do
Kill ‘em all
Kill ‘em all
That’s what you do
I wish I could stop this now
I feel like I’m dying inside
Why is it this way
Why is it this way
This way
You know what to do
Kill ‘em all
Kill ‘em all

“That, that was incredible!” Kirk said, enthusiasm dripping from his flesh.
“So, are you ready to become a part of the Underworld?” Raziel asked.
“Become part? I’m gonna become the biggest of the bigs!!” Kirk replied.

Within a week, Kirk formed a new grunge band, “Dark Shard”. There first concert was near the top of the list of those with the best attendance.
