Chapter Nine -"Ezra, Patricia, Dis"

Raziel walked through the noisy casino. There was another demon in this gambling den, Raziel knew it. Alexis followed him timidly, concerned for his sanity. “Richard, where are we going?”
“I think one of my friends is in here, he’s part of my… operation.” He replied.
“Weirder and weirder.” She mumbled. Raziel saw who he was looking for. A kid who looked like he came out of a Punk Rock music video; spiked up hair, pale skin, dark clothes, a long chain coming from his pocket.
“Eznezio… Could it be?” Raziel addressed the boy.
“Yes… but my cover name is Ezra. What do you need…” Eznezio prompted for a name.
“Raziel… Richard. I require assistance in finding Samael… Sammy.”
“I can help with that. Just give some time to do… things…”
“What are you… I don’t care. How long?”
“Who’s this?” Alexis asked after much awkward muteness.
“My name is Ezra, Richard and I go way back.”
“How long?” Raziel asked.
“Twenty-four hours.”

“Kirk… You’ve been here… all along… AND DIDN’T EVEN COME TO TALK TO ME!? I KNOW DEMONS COME UP TO EARTH ALL THE TIME AND YOU DON’T DROP BY FOR A MEASLY MOMENT!?!?!? YOU DESERVE TO HAVE YOUR EYES CUT OUT!!!” Patricia yelled.
“Trish, calm down. It’s hard for a soul to get clearance to go to Earth. I had no official haunting business, so I could not go. I wanted to see you very much, but I couldn’t.” Kirk said soothingly.
“R- really?”
“Yes, of course.” In the back, Lisa grumbled angrily.
“You jealous of this Patricia girl?” Pashkur asked, drinking some Skeleton brand Ale.
“Yeah. Kirk and I began to have feelings for each other and then this chick shows up? Now Kirk’s gonna be ‘Patricia this’ and ‘Patricia that’… No time for Lisa.” She scowled.
“I’m sure it will blow over. And if not, uh… I’m here!” Pashkur replied with a smile.

Jenxier hid as the mysterious assassin left the room. The death had been fairly quiet, no guards were coming. The demon entered the room to find the cadaver horrible mutilated. The eyes were in a corner, one ear was nowhere to be found, the chest was carved open, the heart and ribs spilling out onto the floor. Why would Vlad want this man killed… The City of Dis has little bearing on his existence… Jenxier thought.

“So, killing a kid. That’s what landed you here?” Vittur asked.
“It was more than one kid. About seven. After that last one…” Thomas began to sob, “I realized what a terrible man I was.” Tears came out of his eyes, but evaporated on the flames.
“That’s past. You’re a different person now, correct?”
“Yeah, ‘spose so.”
“Well, very bad things are going on in the Underworld. I bet if you helped stop it, you could be let out of Tartarus.”
